Pierre Henry ‎– Le Livre Des Morts Égyptien (1990 CD Mantra ‎– MANTRA 043) (FLAC)

                                                         Pierre Henry

  4. First: thanks for your efforts - this is one of my most favourite blogs in the world. Please keep up the good work.
Second: For some reason the CUE file and the FLAC don't work in Medieval, leaving me with one very long FLAC. I'll re-install Medieval, and give it another whack, but you might want to know about this.
Third: Personally, I detest single large FLAC files with CUE files. I want individual FLAC files. It takes some effort with Medieval etc. to break the FLAC into subordinate files, and sometimes it doesn't work, like now. Uploading one large FLAC with a CUE file simply multiplies labour. If it is done correctly first, it saves time down the line. Analogically, an example is Tim Berners Lee who invented the internet. He publicly apologised for the "//" after http: as that "//" was unnecessary (ftp and other protocols don't use it) and the billions, if not trillions of times people have had to type "//" has collectively resulted in millions of wasted hours typing "//". Same deal with single long FLAC files and CUE files. It dumps the effort on the user. Let's say 100 people DL this file. It takes about 5 minutes to run Medieval and cut the FLAC into its parts. If everyone does that, that's 6 hours and 20 minutes of running Medieval and sorting files, etc. And if of those 100 people 1 of them posts it elsewhere, and another 100 people DL it, then that's another collective 6h20m pissed away cutting up the FLAC file...
Now, I realise (and admitted right at the top) that I love this blog, and I admire your efforts immensely. So, don't think I'm complaining, per se. I'm just looking at a bigger picture and voicing concern over a pattern.
Keep up the good work, and if you would be so kind, please cut FLAC files up? Pretty Please?
    :-)
    cheers, S.S.

    1. the file was a wav file. i convert in flac before upload. to work with medieval it´s just simple. open the cue in the editor and correct only the little wav in flac..
When you have wav and WAVE it doesent works
i collect as image, not as seperate files..to burn back, the image is thousand times better than seperate files and the cue is also a playlist for softwareplayers on the computer..

  6. I also cannot separate the tracks. I'm not a techie, so if you want more people like me to fully enjoy your posts you might want to consider making it easier for them to download and integrate the files in their music players. Thank you for all your efforts, this is a very interesting blog.
